Young driver Harry King, supported by UFI Filters, takes second place in the 2024 Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland!
Hockenheimring, Germany. For many, one of the most iconic circuits in the racing world, but for Harry King it is the stage for a great performance that confirmed his second place overall in the Drivers Championship.
Spread over 16 races in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Austria, the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland is Porsche’s longest-running one-make championship: since 1990 it has been synonymous with exciting racing between up-and-coming drivers and veterans who compete over eight weekends in Porsche-branded cars with equal technical opportunities.
The young British driver in the UFI-branded Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car showed all his tenacity by winning the opening race at Imola and achieving excellent results in the Nürburgring and Red Bull Ring circuits, good enough to compete for the Championship in the last weekend of the season. In fact, at the Hockenheimring, King, despite starting in 8th position, finished second in the first race and kept the Championship battle alive for the final race of the season on Sunday, in which he managed to secure second place overall in the Championship.
This year, Harry King, also added to his impressive list of victories with the title of vice-champion of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup championship, one of the most prestigious one-make championships because it is the only one that runs concurrently with the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
