UFI Filters, a leader in filtering and thermal management, is expanding its role in the OE sector for heavy duty vehicles with a patented oil filter for the powerful Cursor 11 and Cursor 13 engines. Complying with the Euro 6D Standard, they’re fitted on the Iveco Stralis S-Way and X-Way – the on-road and off-road lorry with the best effective loading capacity of its segment – and also the Iveco Trakker and Astra HD9.
Die-cast aluminium for the sturdy support that holds it firmly to the motor, and plastic for the cap to ensure greater elasticity, lightness and hold with pressure values up to 13 bar: these are the materials that make up the UFI Filters module.
The cartridge filtration media produced by UFI, a specialist in filtering media, is a pleated multi-layer formed of a layer with a cellulose base and synthetic fibres coupled with a layer in fibreglass. This type of material is not only perfectly compatible with the latest oils but is also able to block the micro-particles of soot, even after long journeys and up to 600 working hours for off-road vehicles. The high filtering efficiency and accumulation capacity guarantee optimum cleaning of the oil, which in turn means excellent lubrication of the engine components and less wear.
