UFI Filters, world leader in filtration and thermal management, celebrates the success of its sponsored driver José Antonio “Cohete” Suárez, who took third place overall in the Supercampeonato de España de Rallyes S-CER 2024 flanked by trusted co-driver Alberto Iglesias. Driving the high-performance Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 of Team Recalvi and branded UFI, the duo once again demonstrated their teamwork and ability to compete at the highest level in one of the most demanding championships on the European rally scene.
The Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, an iconic car in the world of rallying, is equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection engine capable of delivering 289 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive and advanced electronics ensure optimum handling on all types of surfaces, making it ideal for tackling the technical challenges and mixed courses of the S-CER championship. Equipped with a five-speed sequential gearbox and suspension developed specifically for rallying, the Fabia RS Rally2 proved to be a winning choice for Team Recalvi.
Alongside Suárez, co-driver Alberto Iglesias played a key role in bringing an extraordinary season to a close. Their well-established understanding, coupled with the reliability of the Fabia RS Rally2 and the support of UFI Filters, enabled the duo to successfully tackle the difficulties of the mixed courses and the technical challenges of the championship.
With perseverance and determination, Suárez and Iglesias scored crucial points throughout the season, maintaining a high level of performance that led them to battle against the best drivers in the championship.
