UFI Filters has been awarded with the “Panda D’Oro Innovation Award”

UFI Filters Group has been awarded with the “Panda d’Oro Innovation Award”, one of the most prestigious recognitions within the 11th edition of “Panda Awards”, the traditional event organised by the China-Italian Chamber of Commerce in China (CICC) with the support of the Embassy of Italy. The main theme of this year’s ceremony was sustainability and UFI Filters has been awarded in recognition of the investments in R&D.

For the second time UFI Filters has been rewarded with this prestigious award, the first was in 2010, when UFI Group received the accolade for its growth in the Chinese market.

The Ceremony was held at Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Shanghai on the 7th of June 2021 and represented a very important meeting point for the Italian and Chinese business community, after the cancellation of the event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the presence of Luca Ferrari, Italy Ambassador for the People’s Republic of China, the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Mme Zhu Yi and the President of the CICC, Paolo Bazzoni, eight different awards were handed out to Chinese and Italian companies that distinguished themselves in the very difficult year of 2020.

UFI Filters Group has been awarded with the “Panda d’Oro Innovation Award” thanks to its steady investment in R&D – 5% of the Group turnover is reinvested in research every year – but also thanks to the growth experienced in the local Chinese market in 2020 and to the introduction of new innovative products such as the anti-virus cabin air filter D+FEND, high quality FFP2 UFI Mask Defender and the Cathode air filters for Fuel cell systems.

Simone Trazzi APAC COO of UFI Filters Group says: “UFI is investing in new technologies for New Energy Vehicles in the direction of sustainability and carbon neutrality. We are very proud of this achievement especially in the year of the 50th anniversary of our Group’s founding…..UFI is here to shape the future ….”

Rinaldo Facchini, CEO of UFI Filters Group comments: “We are really proud to receive this prestigious awards for the second time in our history. We have always been setting higher standards and this is the confirmation that we are tracing the right route towards innovations and cutting edge technologies, not only for the traditional and new electric engines but also for the future mobility. It’s a great pleasure to see that all we have done even during the pandemic – we never stopped our activities – has been fairly compensated”.
