UFI Filters Group – A new manufacturing plant in Poland for the production of ultimate generation Heat Exchangers

  • UFI Filters will double production capacity of heat exchangers
  • 42 million PLN (about 10 million Euro) total investment and 65 new employees
  • Vacuum Brazing Process – high end technology for the production of heat exchangers

UFI Filters, a world leader in fluid filtration technologies, fluid process solutions and heat exchangers, announces the opening of a new plant in Europe, in Opole (Poland) and the establishment of the new company UFI Filters Poland sp. Z o.o.

The new manufacturing facility, close to UFI’s filter facility in Ostrava (Czech Republic), will be operative starting from the second quarter of 2018 and – together with the existing plant in Shanghai – it will be the first step for a broader development of thermal business.

“The opening of the new facility confirms UFI’s intention to expand its global footprint in order to serve its global customers at a local level and to respond more efficiently to every need.” – affirms Rinaldo Facchini, UFI Filters Group CEO – “With a total investment of 42 million PLN (about 10 million Euro) within the end of September 2026, the Opole manufacturing facility will employ at least 65 new employees”.

Designed to serve various markets, including automotive, heavy duty on-road and off-road, the new plant will allow to double production capacity of heat exchangers and will be fitted with the Vacuum Brazing Process: ultimate technology in terms of cleanliness, strength and reliability. Latest generation of Heat Exchangers will be produced with top heat transfer performances, among which: engine oil coolers, transmission oil coolers, steering oil coolers and any water-cooled cooler, both stand-alone and integrated in the oil modules produced by UFI Filters Group.

This will support UFI’s fast growth in OE oil module filtration, currently fastest growing company and approaching 18% OE share worldwide.

The UFI Filters Group, always at the forefront of the innovation will also produce new generation heat exchangers for hybrid and electrical cars at the Opole plant. As innovator and systems integrator, UFI Filters exploits its ability to combine heat exchangers with additional features and functions (thermostatic valves, coarse filter for coolant, anti-drain and pressure release valves, sensors, sealing, integrated adaptor plate among others), bringing to the market new thermal units able to both cool and warm any fluid.
