UFI Filters – An innovative diesel filter for key Hyundai and Kia applications

  • UFI Filters is the only OE supplier for Hyundai and Kia diesel filtration systems
  • New-generation technology with dual-stage filtration delivering superb water separation
  • New diesel filter for aftermarket applications, covering important Hyundai and Kia cars

UFI Filters, a world leader in fluid filtration technologies, announces the introduction of an important new aftermarket replacement part. This diesel fuel filter cartridge is designed for a wide range of the most popular cars from leading Korean manufacturers Hyundai and Kia, both of which are part of the Hyundai Motor Group. The new filter (code UFI 24.123.00, SOFIMA code S 4123 NR) covers a host of important applications, from the Hyundai i20 and Tucson to the Kia Venga and Sportage.

The aftermarket range of this new filter is the result of the close partnership that UFI Group has developed over recent years with Hyundai Motor Group. Establishing a strong presence in the aftermarket sector is the logical next step for UFI Group, which is already involved in six different OE diesel filtration projects covering the entire Hyundai and Kia ranges.

The Nogarole Rocca-based company has succeeded in winning business from the leading Korean Group thanks to an innovative filtration media that provides superb filtration and water separation performance. The entire range of filters destined for the European market is produced in the modern UFI facility in Ostrava (Czech Republic). This plant is highly automated, using the latest-generation machinery, and is located near the Hyundai Motor Group plant.

The filtration media used in aftermarket applications is distinguished by its highly effective dual-stage filtration system: a first barrier is made from a cellulose-based material, with a second made from hydrophobic mesh to remove any residual water particles. The guaranteed filter efficiency is 99.6% @ 4 μm and the water separation exceeds 90%.

“The release of this new filter for the Hyundai and Kia ranges in the spare parts market,” says Luca Betti, Director of the UFI Group Aftermarket Business Unit, “is further confirmation of the strong presence of UFI in the Asian vehicle industry. This clearly represents an element of added value for our customers. Both Hyundai and Kia, in fact, are enjoying significant sales growth across Europe. We offer an aftermarket product with exactly the same levels of innovation, quality and technological expertise that are to be found in our OE products.”
