INFORMATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 13 OF REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)

Pursuant to article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), in relation to the personal data you provided on the website www.ufifilters.com (hereafter the “Website”) which will come into the possession of UFI Filters S.p.A., you are hereby informed as follows:

  1. How and why we process your data.

Your data will be processed in conformity with the applicable laws and regulations in force, with or without the aid of computerised systems, only and exclusively for the purposes of:

(i)     allowing the management of the registration procedure on the Website;

(ii)    the management and execution of purchase orders

(iii)   sending the newsletter and sales offers.

It is recommended that a correct delivery address and telephone number be provided in order to place a purchase order and to enable a purchase order to be executed promptly and correctly. A telephone number is also necessary in order to allow the customer to be contacted with any questions or requests for clarification and to allow the business partner to
execute the customer’s purchase order promptly and correctly. The e-mail address is, finally, necessary to be able to communicate to the customer the confirmation of receipt of the purchase order and for any other communications.
Finally, the e-mail address is used when the customer is identified in order to allow him/her to access his/her account.

  1. Legal basis of the processing.

The processing of personal data is lawful where it is (i) based on consent or (ii) necessary for the performance of a contract to which the user of the Website is a party (purchase order).

  1. Provision of data and any refusal to provide data.

The submission of personal data is strictly necessary for the use of the services provided by the Website, the execution of the contract and the management of related requests. If the person concerned refuses to provide personal data, it will be impossible to use these services, to fulfil requests and to carry out the services requested.

  1. Data communication

Personal data may be communicated to third parties acting on behalf of UFI Filters S.p.A. in order to execute the contract, such as: e-commerce platform managers and cloud services (Digital River, Salesforce) and logistics providers (DHL, UPS). Personal data are not transferred to third countries; should it happen that processing activities are
transferred to a third country, this will only be done in compliance with the requirements of applicable regulations.

  1. Rights of the data subject

Please note that you are entitled to revoke your consent to the personal data processing at any time, without prejudicing the lawfulness of the processing performed in the period prior to its revocation.

In addition, at any time, you can exercise your rights under articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR.

In particular:

  • you may request access to your personal data and ask for them to be rectified or deleted, ask for restricted processing of your personal data or refuse data processing;
  • you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured format which is commonly used and legible on an automatic device, and may transmit these data to another Data Controller without impediment;
  1. Profiling and disseminating data

Your personal data are not subject to dissemination or any automated decision-making process, including profiling.

  1. Storage period

The period during which personal data will be retained is the period necessary for the fulfilment of legal retention obligations (10 years), unless there are assessments relating to a specific tax period, in which case until such assessments are settled. For marketing purposes, personal data will be retained for a period not exceeding 24 months.

  1. Supervisory Authority

Please note that in case of infringements regarding the processing of your personal data, you are entitled to submit a complaint to the competent Supervisory Authority.
