UFI’s expertise in the world of ‘extreme’ performance has always extended to other championships, thanks to the know-how of UFI\u2019s dedicated High-Tech Division<\/strong>, which supplies tailor-made solutions not only to 9 out of 10 racing teams in the top racing championship, but also for the cars of the FIA WEC – World Endurance Championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

UFI already went on track last year in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the supply of filtration technologies to the victorious Ferrari 499P that won the race with a historic result, winning the centenary edition. The Prancing Horse returned to the world’s most famous endurance track after a 50-year absence.<\/p>\n

Now UFI is back on board the three Ferrari 499Ps – number 50 and number 51 of the official AF Corse team,<\/strong> and the number 83 of the private AF Corse team<\/strong> – which will take part on the weekend of 2nd<\/sup> March<\/strong> in the first round of the WEC in Qatar in the LMh category. In the same category, UFI is also supplying filtration technology to the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6, and the Lamborghini SC63.<\/p>\n

The Ferrari 499P<\/strong> is equipped with a hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 680hp V6 engine combined with an electric motor-generator on the front axle, delivering 200kW of power.<\/p>\n

Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMh<\/strong> is the sports prototype that marks the Italian brand’s return to competition after decades of inactivity. The competition car has four-wheel drive, combining a combustion engine with an electric motor, mounted on the front axle. The 700-horsepower 3-litre V6 engine is combined with a 900V lithium-ion battery.<\/p>\n

The Lamborghini SC63<\/strong> is the first hybrid endurance racing prototype created by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. It is equipped with a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, with a body designed down to the last detail in terms of aerodynamics.<\/p>\n

The five racing prototypes will be engaged in the World Endurance Championship following the below schedule. We look forward to seeing UFI Filters technologies taking all the podium steps.<\/p>\n
