UFI Filters goes on track again together with its brand ambassador, British influencer and driver Archie Hamilton, this year in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain.
Last year, the YouTube and Instagram star claimed 4th place overall with 6 podium places in the Porsche Cayman Sprint Challenge 2020 and this year he steps up in the world of racing taking part in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, together with AHR Motorsport with Brookspeed Racing.
One of the toughest series in the world, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB averages over 20 Porsche 911s battling it out over 8 rounds across the UK. The single marque GT racing championship acts as a support bill to the highly popular British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with races shown live on the English channel ITV4, registering an average attendance of 30,000 people. A great opportunity for Archie Hamilton to be involved in, racing on board of his UFI-branded Porsche Carrera 911 GT3 Cup, and an important visibility opportunity for the UFI Filters brand.
The 30-year-old British driver from Hook, began competing professionally in 2009, combining a successful career in Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Porsche Carrera Cup, GT Open and Le Mans. In 2015 he stopped to focus on building his online brand, Archie Hamilton Racing, experiencing an outstanding success. Today, his social platforms are very popular, over 204,000 followers on Instagram, 328,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel, with a reach of 24 million users in Europe and the UK in the last 90 days. His online presence is constantly growing, with over 50 thousand more followers on YouTube than last year, making him the right brand ambassador for UFI Filters to achieve further penetration and visibility on the market.
Also this year the first appointment of the Championship is at Snetterton, on 12th and 13th June, once again Dino Zamparelli, the British driver brand ambassador of UFI Filters in 2019, is confirmed as Archie’s coach and mentor.
The supercar driven by Archie, the Porsche Carrera 911 GT3 Cup is powered by a 4.0 liter six-cylinder 485 horsepower rear-wheel drive boxer engine, supported by a six-speed PDK transmission.
UFI Filters boasts a solid reputation in the supply of filtration solutions for the racing sector, a business that began more than 40 years ago and continues today with over 110 individual parts supplied for each Formula 1 race. The partnership with Archie Hamilton continues this year as UFI Filters Group sees him as the right ambassador for the brand, reflecting its core values of passion, innovation and excellence and the right ambassador to carry the brand in his visibility on digital channels.
Archie Hamilton states: “I am enthusiastic about continuing working with UFI Filters also for the 2021 season. We will certainly be able together to give the right support and visibility to the brand and to the excellence of the products, thanks to our presence in a very popular championship. Personally, I am really happy to take the step towards the Porsche Carrera Cup, for me it represents a great challenge and an opportunity for growth as a driver”.
Karl Ridings, UK & Ireland Sales Director & General Manager UK & Ireland – Aftermarket comments: “We have full confidence in Archie’s great potential and are proud to continue this partnership which will strengthen our brand awareness within a growing segment of the market in UK and Ireland. A further boost to our presence in the UK, where we can already rely on a strengthened sales team as well as on our local warehouse, which can provide a next-day delivery service to our customers across the country”.
